An older stadium situated in a residential area.
We travelled in a disabled minibus arranged by AFCB, consequently we don’t know of disabled parking arrangements of Crystal Palace.
There is a Sainbury’s very nearby, but have heard conflicting reports about parking there from other wheelchair (WC) users.Going around the area the pavements were uneven so not flat and level.
Inside – an old ground so not ideal, but I must credit them with having done all they can for visiting disabled fans. Stewarding is 1st class. Two disabled loos with radar key access and steward supervision.
View is not the best from viewing platform for various reasons. These include stantions supporting the roof, media gantry suspended from the roof and not being able to see the near touchline when the stadium is full. PA/carer has to sit behind WC spaces which is not the best.
Stewarding, attentive, cheerful and very helpful significantly above other Premier League clubs
All in all Crystal Palace has made every effort to make the best of what they have to provide a good experience.

There’s always additional preparation required for an any event for disabled people. My planning started two weeks ahead of the match when I emailed Crystal Palace to ask about parking, as I drive from my wheelchair, and with the tailgate being my entry/exit point street parking was nigh on impossible. The only response I got was to ‘try Sainsburys’ although there’s a 4 hour limit on match days.

So.. We arrived and duly parked. Before the game we spent some time in the Prince George Pub. Very friendly staff.

Access to Selhurst Park via the Arthur Thwaite stand is well signposted for both visiting and home disabled fans. Once inside you will find yourself already halfway up (or down) the stand which provides a good view of the pitch for wheelchair users.

There are a couple of bays where you can watch, and thePalace stewards were extremely helpful in allowing me to sit with both my daughter and her boyfriend.

The seats in front of the bays were low enough to allow for a good view even when those in front were standing. Not as good as Brighton but much better than Charlton.

We were also welcomed by a steward who checked we had everything we needed.

There was an accessible loo as you’d expect.
