We wasn’t sure about visiting so didn’t book tickets however we spoke to one of the security guards who provided us with tickets free of charge.

There’s an outside viewing point which has ramp to access which is great for pictures!

The museum is fully accessible with ramps and smooth flooring

Inside the cathedral has a lift to go up if you wish but if not it’s very accessible and a must visit

You’d think that a building which began construction in 1882 would leave a lot to be desired in terms of accessibility, but this Basilica had good access. Mostly gentle slopes outside, but some steeper ones for the stronger, more adventurous wheelchair user.

Inside it is all level and simply stunning.

So, if you’re doing the tourist thing in Barcelona, don’t rule this out just because you think its age might not make it accessible.
