Although sports orientated, it is also great for disabled. Except for arrival and departure days the roads are clear of traffic except for the occasional centre Parcs vehicle. Some of the roads can be a bit steep, so you need a strong helper or a powered chair, you can also hire mobility scooters if you’re able to transfer. Disabled lodges are limited in number, but are well adapted (check before you book) Our lodge had a wet room, and a profiling bed in the bedroom. The village centre is all undercover with a variety of restaurants and shops, including a well stocked supermarket. Just outside the village centre is a takeaway for a good variety of food-Chinese,Indian,pizza etc. This can be delivered to your lodge or can be eaten outside at one of the tables overlooking the lake. We have been a number of times and would highly recommended it.
