One thing I will add which I forgot about is it has two narrow heavy doors at the main entrance, you have to open both at the same time which isn’t ideal.

I visited the hotel today for a meal in the Terrace Restaurant and this review is for accessibility to the restaurant, I don’t know if they have disabled bedrooms or a disabled toilet as had no need to use it. I contacted them via email yesterday to book a table and asked if I could reserve a disabled parking space as there is only two outside the entrance. They replied promptly with details of my booking and confirmed they reserved me a disabled parking space and took note of my shellfish allergy.
When arriving at the hotel today as promised a disabled space had been reserved for me with a sign outside the front of the hotel so didn’t have to worry about finding somewhere to park. This parking area however is on gravel which is a deeper in places than others which could be difficult to push on if you’re a manual chair user but fine for powerchairs.
The main entrance into the hotel is up one step but there is a short slightly steep wooden ramp to allow access, this wasn’t much of a problem though. Once inside the reception area it’s all level from here into the restaurant, this is spacious with good distance between the tables for easy manoeuvring. When I arrived they told me they had my shellfish allergy listed which was reassuring, the service was very good with polite staff. If you want you can also eat outside in the lower part of the beautiful gardens which is accessible via another wooden ramp just like the one at the front door, you access this via the conservatory area. For the age of the building the access is decent enough with very good customer service, if you’re into good food and looking for somewhere a little nicer from the norm I highly recommend it.
