As an away fan the experience is probably very different to the home disabled fans. Being in the ‘old’ stand, you are at least with away fans and have very helpful stewards. On the downside, the platform, is not actually a platform. It is simply row A – at the front. Calling it a ‘platform’ is somewhat misleading 🙂 Fortunately it was dry, but expect to get wet if it rains. There’s no signage outside, and as we had a very large away crowd, there was no route for disabled fans to find the entrance through the large queues. You just join the bundle. Had we not eventually found a busy steward we would not have known where we were going. It was a great day out, but be aware of the poor facilities. Note – there is a slightly better disabled loo shared between home and away fans under the media centre.

We review #accessibility as an away fan, from the perspective of a powered #wheelchair user.

We talk pavements, signage, ramp gradients, toilets, pie and coffee!
