This place was truly amazing. I booked four lodges for my party of six wheelchairs and seven walkers for 7 nights. When you enter each lodge you do not get the feeling that this is a “disabled” holiday home. What you do get is the experience of staying in a holiday lodge that is everyone friendly. Wide doorways, level access, wet room, low down work surface in the kitchen and large living space and bedrooms. Also there is a charging point outside each lodge for electric chairs or scooters without clogging up space inside. Level access out onto the veranda without any dodgy step or negotiate. What I loved most was that it was not so obvious that it was wheelchair friendly. There are eight lodges in total, all equally suitable. A swimming pool heated to about 28 degrees is also on site with accessible changing rooms and hoist. There is a fishing lake too. This was altogether a very positive, non fuss making, experience. If you do decide to book here make sure you take some bird food! there is a bird box on each veranda and they love it !
