On arriving at the hotel there is a height barrier at 2.1m into the car park which was just too low for my WAV however there is an intercom that goes through to reception for the barrier to be lifted. I noticed 4 Blue Badge spaces but they were conveniently placed just at the entrance to the hotel. The reception desk has a lower point for ease of wheelchair users. The accessible room I stayed in was spacious, wet room very nice, again with lots of space. Plenty of room to access the bed from either side. The downside to this hotel was the lift. The accessible rooms were up about 6 steps with a stair lift. The lift could only be operated by a member of staff as I key was required so going up or down it was always a case of finding a member of staff. That’s ok if you have someone able bodied with you to go and find someone. There is a bell if you are travelling alone, to alert a member of staff, but that wasn’t working. Bit of a downside to what otherwise is a nice place to stay.
