Firstly, let me say I haven’t visited Cyclone in person, so I can’t vouch for accessibility at the site, but the owner – also a wheelchair user has confirmed to me the site is fully accessible with all disabled facilities.

However, I wanted to add a little review, since Cyclone was the source for my Batec Rapid power handbike, the one purchase, other than my wheelchair, that has changed my life.

The guys here are absolutely amazing, they really do know their stuff, and the handbike attachments are top notch. My Batec cost me £3,500 – an ex-demo model reduced from 7k. Since it was an enormous investment, I was rather nervous, but they gave me a full explanation of the unit through multiple emails, calls, and visits, which put my mind at ease with such a large purchase.

Once the time came to fit the Batec, the guys from Cyclone came all the way from Widnes to me on the South Coast, and it was fitted within 45 minutes. Reassuringly, one of the technicians is also a permanent wheelchair user, so I knew he’d be able to guide me through. The fitting was that easy, it was actually done in the back of the van, a mobile workshop unit.

Aftercare has been superb – I’ve called on a few occasions with enquiries about accessories, servicing and tyres. I got a puncture within a few days (my fault!) and they walked me through changing the tyre as it was a bit complex at first.

A great company, with excellent support, selling a product that is unrivalled for freedom. Have to recommend them highly!
