Have used several times and found if you book assistance in advance it seems to go very smoothly and they know they need to help you and your luggage. However as soon as I have gone in a group or with friends they seem to get most confused and hardly help. On your rifle by car we park close by and attempted to use the designated telephone To request assistance as my friend could not push me and carry two suitcases. There was no reply, although we phoned several times and it was very cold and raining . We had to struggle to get ourselves in. On eventually managing to get into The building we found the disabled help desk this was woefully under staffed with many people waiting and having to wait a very long time and being treated fairly badly.

When you have a friend with you they are never sure if you need pushing so sadly Claire , my friend, was expected to push me and the suitcase. Instead of having assistance you are pointed in the right direction.
My advice is to always travel alone then they have no option but to help you! This previous experience may have been on a very busy day when all the staff were off ill or I don’t know the excuse but certainly in the past I have just travelled So go and have always found it very easy and straightforward. Both times I went with friends I found it more difficult.

I travel from Luton a lot. Using the official car park the busses are all assessable with Ramp and space for wheelchair user.

Ok arrival you have a slight incline into the airport but it’s not to bad. Then inside I found the accessible team to be really helpful and happy for you Togo a lone and meet at the gate if you wish, I’m told to use the express lane In security and found the security staff great with being helpful and understanding when checks take place and with medication.

At the gate they call an ambi and before I know it I’m on the plane they are really quick at Luton. Well done guys
