There’s plenty of disabled parking in the first row of the car park, the spaces aren’t marked out and on compacted gravel. Car parking is free for blue badge holders, you can be dropped off outside the house entrance if you can only walk short distances. The ticketing desk has a lowered counter section. The house is fully accessible to wheelchair users via a lift but mobility scooters aren’t allowed due to their turning circle, electric wheelchairs are okay though. Most of the gardens are accessible with a route clearly marked for wheelchair and scooter users which are allowed in the gardens. There’s buggy tours of the gardens for those who have difficulty walking distances for a small fee. There’s an accessible toilet near the house entrance and in the farmyard, there aren’t any in the gardens and no changing places one. Generally for a listed stately home Chatsworth has decen disabled access and is well worth a visit.
