BBS BBS

Update Oct 2016: Bubbledogs introduced a Kitchen table that seats 19 and it’s retained it’s 1 Michelin Star. However, they still don’t have a disabled toilet but it is at least wheelchair accessible now, through a ‘discreet’ entrance. Haven’t tried it yet but sounds good as it’s….
“a dining experience, encouraging full interaction with the chefs and showcasing previously unseen kitchen theatre. Here Head Chef James Knappett prepares, cooks and serves a daily changing menu of meticulously sourced and foraged British ingredients”
James Knappett is ex The Ledbury and Noma two excellent restaurants. Maybe they’ll win a BBS Award in 2017??

Back in 2014 we had a great night out at Bubbledogs, in Charlotte St., London. They serve exactly what you’d think champagne – direct from growers so there are some unusual and very good bottles of ‘poo’ – and hotdogs – which were fine but I’m no real expert on this culinary delight.

Above all it’s a fun place and even though, in a wheelchair, I was nowhere near the height of the bar or tables, I was still involved in the general hubbub. There’s a queuing system to get in but I was put to the front. There’s also a step at the entrance and a disabled toilet exists but it’s down a flight of stairs, (they do offer to carry you down). Best place to be is by the bar as the rear looked pretty cramped and I think is up another step (soz it was a while ago and my memory is fuzzy regarding the night out).
Suffice to say I loved it and although it’s a little inaccessible the staff make up for this with their helpful and fun attitude.
