When you arrive at the main car park there are two disabled spaces near the entrance to the ticket office building which has level access. Once you have purchased your tickets you have to cross the road and go up some steps to get into the garden. If you cant do steps like myself you are allowed to drive up to the farm, you have to open and close two gates yourself. This means you can park near to the house but has only room for one car at a time. As the entrance is by timed ticket and they only let one wheelchair in at a time you should be able to park here without a problem.
I remember a bit of a slope down from where you park and a gate before you get into the grounds of the house. The whole of the area outside is flag stones but its relatively flat. The house itself has level access into the ground floor via a wide front door so you are able to view the kitchen and parlour, the upstairs isn’t accessible to wheelchair user but they did have an album which they gave to me with photos of the rooms up there.
The gardens are accessible but the pathways are pretty narrow but just about wide enough for people to pass you. The shop is at the end of one of these paths and is accessible to wheelchairs only from the house side, this is via a portable ramp which you have to ask staff to put down for you. There are no disabled toilets at the site but was told there is a RADAR disabled toilet two miles away in Hawkshead village main car park, not ideal.
