There’s no disabled parking for the shop but you can park nearby in the Furlong car park by Waitrose or in the large short stay car park across the road which both have free disabled parking.
The entrance for the shop is level and has large doors but these aren’t automatic and no bell for assistance so it could be a problem if you find it hard opening doors on your own but in the summer they’re usually left open. It’s easy to get around once inside with turning space between the glasses racks, they have refurbished recently and moved the waiting area further back in the store. This gives more space for wheelchair users to park up without being in the way like previously, the staff were very helpful and moved chairs about so I could stop in a suitable place. No disabled toilet in the shop but there’s a toilet block in the car park with radar disabled toilets. The rooms where they do the eye tests are a little small and I had to do a bit of manoeuvring to get into the right place to do the test while staying in my chair, my chair is quite large so it shouldn’t be a problem for most people. All the staff in there are very helpful and would help you to choose new glasses if needed, it was a good experience.
