Most of this review is actually about the Manor Gardens which are accessed through the Garden Centre. There’s a couple of disabled parking spaces near to the entrance, the car parks on gravel so not easy for manual wheelchair users. You have to negotiate a concrete slope down to get to the main entrance but then it’s level through the door which is sliding automatic ones. The Garden Centre is level throughout and on a hard surface but some of the display tables are a little close together which makes it harder to get around.
Entrance to the Manor Gardens is £6 an adult and £5 for seniors, the carer gets in for free. The gardens are at the bottom of the garden centre and are only open on a Wednesday. The gardens are mostly on compacted gravel and grass paths with a special route for wheelchair users, this allows you to see the majority of the gardens while avoiding the areas with steps. There’s a couple of steep slopes but these aren’t too daunting especially for powerchair users. The disabled toilet is in the Garden Centre.
