Disabled car parking is in the Lodmoor Car Park which is council run so unless you have a permit you have to pay to park. This is about 200yards from the main entrance which you get to via a flat tarmac path. The main entrance has a tiny lip/step which should be negotiable for wheelchair users through a heavy door. There’s a separate fast pass/accessible entrance which goes around the side of the entrance building that’s a flat concrete path, I suspect you have to purchase tickets before you can use this entrance. I used the standard entrance. The ticket counter didn’t have a lowered section which makes it a little harder for wheelchair users to pay, the disabled pay the age related price but the carer goes free with proof of disability.

The site is made up of several different buildings, all with a different theme. All of the buildings are accessible either through a level entrance or via a fixed ramp. There isn’t a door to open to get into most of them but there is some plastic curtains you have to fight your way through. The pathways to these buildings are usually flat and tarmac, there are some slopes in places but nothing too steep.
There’s two sets of disabled toilets, one in the entrance building and the other at Caribbean Cove. Both of these toilets are a little small but the one at Caribbean Cove is a little wider and a better bet for those who need room to transfer. There’s no Changing Places facilities though which is poor when it’s a place people can spend all day at.

If you want to go into Weymouth there’s a land train that goes from the beach across the road which takes one wheelchair and travels along the seafront.
