This Premier Inn had reasonably good access but there were a couple of things that went against it. The staff were superb and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a good stay. The biggest issue is where the disabled parking is. Its right in front of the entrance doors with no walkway between the cars, this meant that if the two cars parked two close to one another you wouldn’t be able to get inside the hotel. The entrance doors aren’t automatic and for some wider wheelchairs both might have to be opened as they’re narrow. The entrance isn’t level, you have to negotiate a small, short slope. All the disabled rooms were on the ground floor as there is no lift, I would say it was an older building which is why the accessibility wasn’t as good as at some newer built Premier Inn’s. The room was of a reasonable size but wasn’t as big as some other’s we’ve stayed in. The bathroom was a wet room with roll in shower, the biggest issue and its the same in all Premier Inn hotels is that the sink is set too low for electric wheelchair users. The entrance from the Premier Inn into the restaurant was very narrow, I could only just get through it.
