At last!

My wife and I ventured out today for the first time in 3 months! I’ve been nervous about this trip for a few days. Would it be busy? Would we be unable to maintain social distancing?

Although this review is of LongCross Pond, we actually stopped at the parking area nearby (about 4 o’clock from the ‘pin’ on the satellite image), and the open area is just to the right of the car park. We came here last year so we hoped it would not be crowded.

The car park is gravel, and to get to the wooded area was tricky. There is a hump, presumably to stop cars driving into the area, but it did make it tricky to get my powered chair over.

Once that was done the area was nice and flat and we were able to have a nice picnic. We hardly saw anyone and maintained social distancing at all times.

There were no accessible facilities of any kind at this car-park.
