The ground floor of the house is fully accessible with access to the shops, cafe and accessible toilets, however the upstairs shops are inaccessible to wheelchair users. There’s a separate accessible entrance in and out of the gardens and an accessible route which allows you to see at least half of the gardens but there’s a lot of steps throughout and the Japanese Gardens aren’t really accessible at all to wheelchair users. The gardens really are beautiful though and worth a visit despite some accessibility issues.
